About Us
Ashland Area Economic Development is a comprehensive economic development organization (EDO) operating under a public-private partnership structure. We strive to strengthen our local economy in these primary areas: business retention, expansion, attraction and entrepreneurship.
Originally, Ashland Economic Development was a department within the City of Ashland that became the official EDO for the Ashland area that started January 1, 2001. In 2006 it became a Council of government. We have since then transitioned into a new organization: Ashland Area Economic Development, Inc. This new private, non-profit organization was formed in January 1, 2017.
