About Us
The roots and tradition of ABSCO go back to the 1930s when it was founded by George Ankney in Columbus, Ohio. It has since grown to over 20 employees in 6 cities in northern Ohio. In 2000 we built a office and service facility in Ashland, including a climate controlled test lab to meet the increasing requirements of the ISO & TS quality programs we provide. To meet our customers' needs, we have grown from offering just scales to a full line of equipment to handle any weighing application.
With scales ranging from laboratory balances to platforms, hoppers, conveyors, and vehicle scales, we can weigh anything. This weight can then be used to print a ticket or label, control conveyors or mixers, or interface to a computer to print reports, track inventory, or bill product. We offer foundation construction, installation, custom built scales, custom control panels and software, computer networking, and many other services to complete your project.
